This was such a special wedding day at The Winfield Inn in Kyle, Texas. Despite a little rain, I was able to photograph so many precious moments from Tory and Logan’s intimate wedding day. The Winfield Inn is a charming vintage space for an intimate wedding with a vintage feel. This venue allows you to get ready on-site and provides both indoor and outdoor event space options to make your Texas wedding dreams come true.
Tory got ready in one of the rooms of the Winfield Inn, and it was the perfect space to get ready in, with a vintage vanity and large windows letting in tons of natural light. Once she was ready, we headed to the screened-in porch for a first look with her parents. I love it when the bride gets ready by herself and then surprises her parents with her wedding dress. Not only does this allow the bride to have a moment alone before she is swept up in the wedding day, but it provides the parents with a special moment with their daughter before she says “”I do.””
After her first look with her parents, she met her groom out front to have their first look at the steps. This was such a sweet moment to capture, with both of them tearing up as they said their private vows to one another. Let these pictures convince you that private vows are the way to go if you are debating whether to do a first look or private vows. Not only does this allow for a more intimate setting for your vows, but it also allows us to get couples’ portraits out of the way so you can join your wedding guests even faster. I was so glad they opted for a first look since we did get some rain on their wedding day!
It started to rain just as Tory was about to walk down the aisle. Thankfully, it wasn’t too bad, and we were able to just push the ceremony out 30 minutes to let the weather calm down. I was so thankful that Tory remained calm when it started to rain. She surprised me by being all for ceremony pictures in the rain if it happened to start up again. I know it can be stressful when things don’t go as planned on your wedding day. Still, moments like this can make for some unique memories you and your partner can reflect on when looking at your wedding photos.
After the rain stopped, the overcast lighting was perfect for some romantic shots in the grass. The landscaping, combined with the vintage architecture of the Windfield Inn, was the perfect backdrop for timeless wedding portraits. If your dream wedding combines elegant vintage features with classic romance, you should check out The Winfield Inn. The fact that it rained and we could still carry on with the wedding was such a relief. The venue has both indoor and outdoor options that can accommodate the weather.
The Whitney wedding at The Winfield Inn was a great reminder of how unpredictable a wedding day can be and how staying calm and rolling with whatever happens makes for some great memories! If you’re planning your wedding and looking for the perfect vintage wedding venue, I cannot recommend The Winfield Inn enough.
