Jaden and Mark’s wedding day was one for the books! They married at a newer Texas wedding venue, The Grand Pines Reserve, in Conroe, TX. With a summer wedding in Texas, the weather can be unpredictable, from hot and humid to rainy and gloomy. Still, despite the weather, you could tell that Jaden and Mark were intentional when planning their wedding, and it was the perfect day! Every elegant detail and the emotional touches they had throughout the day made it even more special for the couple!
I started the day capturing her Jimmy Choo and his Dior wedding shoes. You could tell the vibe was set high for their wedding just based on their shoe taste! Jaden got dressed with the help of her family. She wore a stunning satin a-line dress with one sleeve off the shoulder and the other half of the bodice full of beads and pearls. She did her hair down in a classic old Hollywood curl style that just screamed lux! Mark wore a classic black tux with a bow tie but showed his personality through those Dior shoes.
A super sweet highlight of the day was Jaden doing a first look with her dad before he walked her down the aisle. Since she did not have a first look with Mark, having someone to surprise before the ceremony was so fun and resulted in tons of smiles.
Even though Jaden and Mark did not do a first look, they decided to exchange private vows. I always love it when my couples choose to go this route. It still lets them be surprised during the wedding ceremony. Still, it also gives them a chance to have a moment alone before the ceremony. Mark was really emotional during the private vows. I know it took a lot of self-control for Jaden to not turn around and hug him. Literally the sweetest, most intimate moment before they said, “I do.”
Another moment that you could tell Mark put a lot of thought into when it came to their wedding day was gifting Jaden a Louis Vuitton bathroom bag; he remembered how she kept complimenting the one he had, so it was only fitting she had one of her own now that they were to be married! It was a sweet, personal touch that added another hint of luxury to the day.
The ceremony was so unique and emotional for the couple, having all of their closest friends and family witnessing them making that commitment to one another. Jaden walked down the aisle with a bridal bouquet of baby’s breath and white roses; this matched the white rose petals laid out along the aisle, and the altar decor was a bundle of baby’s breath and white roses. Having white flowers for your wedding is a timeless look that will always be a good option for weddings!
As for the reception decor, it was all classic and elegant, just like the couple. With this venue being less than a year old, you could tell the owners were intentional when building it since it only needed a little to make the reception space fit the couple’s needs! Each table had baby breath and rose flower arrangements. The main part of the reception was the classic black and white dance floor, another timeless detail that you can never go wrong with! I loved how they could have an indoor reception that accommodated all of their guests since a summer wedding in Texas can get pretty hot if you’re outdoors!
After their first dance, Jaden changed into a STUNNING reception dress, which stole the show. A fringe sparkly dress of my dreams. I was literally starstruck when I saw it. Like jaw on the floor! It was the perfect reception dress for me to get all the dancing shots for the night! The reception kicked off, and the dance floor was full of their friends and family. It was the perfect way to end the night surrounded by people they love!
Capturing Jaden and Mark’s was so special. Everything from the emotional vows to the outfit change and gifts, I was so thankful to be able to capture their wedding day. Jaden and Mark are both athletes, so two weeks after they got married, Mark signed a deal, and now they are living in Japan with his new team! I am so grateful I got to photograph this summer wedding in Texas before they moved to the other side of the world!
Let the Smith’s wedding day be your inspiration for any couples dreaming of their own classic wedding. It’s all about the personal touches that make your wedding day unforgettable for both you and your guests! Cheers to the happy couple, and may their new life in Japan be as joyful as their wedding day!
