I was so excited to capture Sam and Kylie’s wedding at Four Fifteen Estates in New Boston, Texas! A hidden gem for couples looking for a venue surrounded by nature with a blank slate to bring their wedding vision to life. This venue allowed Sam and Kylie to host the perfect classic wedding!
The couple chose an iconic black and white theme for their wedding. Guests were asked to dress in black, creating a beautifully cohesive look that helped showcase the white florals decorating the venue. Kylie and her bridesmaids also embraced the theme! Instead of having her bridesmaids dressed in all black, she had everyone dressed in all white. I love that Kylie did this, as it is a tradition that the only person that should be wearing white is the bride. This is a great example of how you shouldn’t listen to others when planning your wedding and do what YOU want to do for your special day. If you want your bridesmaids to match you in white, do it!! I’m here for it!
Before the ceremony started, Sam had the sweetest surprise for Kylie. He gifted her a handwritten card and flowers to enjoy as she got ready for the wedding day. Having grooms do little things like this on a wedding day is so perfect. Usually, it’s the bride who is doing the majority of the planning and creating the vision for a wedding, so to see Sam send her a surprise she wasn’t expecting is the best touch a groom can do, in my opinion! The rest of the wedding day was filled with personal touches like this that made their wedding so personal.
The ceremony was in the indoor chapel Four Fifteen Estates has on the property. One of the things I loved about this venue is the different options they have on site. If you want to have an outdoor ceremony, they have a separate space for that! A special moment during Sam and Kylie’s ceremony was having their parents join them for a worship session at the altar. This intimate moment brought the couple’s faith into the ceremony, which is also a nice idea if that is something important to you as a couple.
After the ceremony, the guests headed outside to enjoy lawn games and the coffee bar station. I love that coffee bars are now becoming popular to replace the cocktail hour. This is such a fun alternative that more people can enjoy compared to alcohol. While the guests enjoyed their drinks, I stole Kyle and Sam away for some couples portraits. They are no strangers to being in front of the camera since they have both modeled in the past, so taking portraits that felt more editorial came naturally to them. Focusing on classic poses and letting them enjoy the moment together before returning to join their guests.
The reception, held in an indoor reception space on site, continued the black and white theme with the classic black and white wedding floor. The rest of the evening was full of good food, lots of cake, and tons of dancing! During the reception, Kylie’s brother surprised the couple by playing them a song on the guitar. I love it when couples include their family on their wedding day as it is true what they say, you don’t just marry someone, you marry the family too! Kylie’s brother playing them a song was a special way for him to welcome Sam into the family.
Sam and Kylie’s wedding at Four Fifteen Estates was the perfect reminder of how a wedding should reflect a couple’s personality. This venue was perfect for their dream wedding, and I’m so honored I got to be the one to capture it.
